Certification

AHA offers three certification programs to individuals depending on your goals:

The Certified Happiness Specialist (CHS) is awarded to individuals who complete our series of workshops and demonstrate competency in the science of happiness. The goal of this certification is personal achievement. The individual who earns this certificate has excelled in taking responsibility for their own happiness.

The Certified Happiness Professional (CHP) is awarded to individuals who are in the business of helping others be happy. This includes physicians, psychologists, psychotherapists, psychatrists, nurses, teachers, life coaches, wellness practitioners, yoga instructors, meditation teachers, holistic workers, chiropractors, massage/physical therapists, social workers, and other helping professions. The goal of this certification is professional achievement. The individual who earns this certification will be applying the techniques learned to their practice for the benefit of their patients and clients.

The Certified Happiness Instructor (CHI) is awarded to individuals who would like to teach the AHA programs. The goal of this certification is the ability to teach the AHA material in your business or community. This is AHA's train-the-trainer program and includes a licensing component. The individual who earns this certification will be teaching AHA course content to their own students and potentially awarding CHSs and CHPs.

Classes will initially be held in the San Francisco, CA area beginning in June 2009. Full certification program details will be posted in May 2009.
